My life has been extemely fufilling. I was a real estate appraiser for 25 years until I had to retire due to health reasons in 2008. I still really miss working as I really loved what I did and loved working for myself running a small ( very small) firm. My son is the light of my life and is marrying a woman who is a carbon copy of me in many ways, so of course, I adore her.I've always have been sort of a hippie and very liberal and loved the 8 years I spent in Oregon living on Mt Hood. Now I live in Hurricane, Utah where I do not fit in with the locals. All blue eyed blond haired conservative Mormons. It is sort of like "the Stepford Wives" Everyone thinks and acts the same. Hoping to move near my son in Reno where there is a lot of diversity..I'm really into gardening and have built a waterfall and pond in my backyard.Quit drinking 37 yrs ago and I finally quit smoking 5 months ago so I'm almost perfect now!! LOL

Don't really have a school story. I had quit smoking last year and in April of this year learned I had stage 4 lung cancer that had metastasized to my lymph nodes and trying to work it nasty way towards my brain. Prognosis, if I did nothing 2 to 3 months. Told the Doctor that was not acceptable as I was going to dance at my son's wedding, was involved in remodeling my bathroom and the backyard was still not quite finished. She very cautiously said that with chemo (if it was effective ) could possibly buy me some time. Well to make a long story short The very first chemo treatment all the cancer tumors in my lymph nodes went away. My doctor couldn't believe it. After each treatment I feel younger and younger and stronger and stronger. People say Chemo is awful but I only had a bad time the 4th treatment because I had a sinus infection and didn't mention it when I went in for my 5th treatment they
said I was to weak and sick. Anyway I am now doing well. After my 6th treatment will have a Pet Scan and be on maintenance chemo. Life is great.
