Heidi Ledford Hill

1944 to 2014

            I learned of Heidi's death several days after she was killed attempting to cross Danville Boulevard and was hit by a van in the dark, early in the evening of March 5.  She was taken to John Muir Hospital where she died early the next morning. 

            Heidi moved from Piedmont with her family after she completed grammar school at Havens School in the spring of 1956.  I remember her well from my grammar school days.  She was a good student and particularly enjoyed playing with the boys during recess where she excelled.  The boys nicknamed her "Leadhead." I remember her most as the short brown haired, brown eyed girl, with freckles which she did not like.   

            After she left Piedmont, she kept in touch.  She was married to Jim Hill (Class of 1961) and had one daughter.
