On November 3, 2000, after a battle with cancer, our classmate Suzanne Kemis Whitney De Monte died. She is survived by daughters Michelle and Margaret. Bruce Beebe was kind enough to contribute his memories. Many a fond memory of Suzanne comes to mind when I think of all the staring roles she had in the Piedmont High School Plays. With blonde hair and hazel blue eyes, Suzanne was a rather dramatic individual both on and off the stage. During our days at Piedmont High, she broke a lot of hearts on both sides of the stage lights. Though never making it to Hollywood, Suzanne did manage to get into some commercials, all while she and her husband Bob raised two delightful daughters."
