In Memory

Kathy Wittkoff (Davis)

Harriet Akesson Vanderbilt wrote me in mid-February to let me know of the passing of Kathy Witkoff Davis on Saturday, February 10, 200 I, in Scottsdale Arizona. She finally lost her 15 year battle with cancer. She is survived by her brother, William, who has lived in Brazil for many years.

Earl remembers Kathy just about as far back as he can remember anything. I remember Kathy back to kindergarten with Mrs. Jacobsen at Havens School so many years ago. She and I were in the same class until we were split apart in the second grade. She continued with us at Piedmont through 8th grade and I can remember being in math class with her --Mr. Swartzell taught. At that age, I thought she was the prettiest, most charming girl in the class. She had fun with the many boys who thought the same thing I did.

Kathy and I renewed our acquaintance at the 1992 Reunion and I wrote her after the Northridge earthquake, as I did other classmates who lived in Los Angeles. She wrote back from Prescott, Arizona where we visited her in 1995.

She worked 16 years as a Senior Training Consultant for CB Commercial Real Estate Group, formerly known as Coldwell Banker Commercial and in retirement continued as a training consultant. Later, she moved to Phoenix. We again saw her in Phoenix in the spring of 2000 and she looked wonderful. She was looking forward to the future after settling her mother's estate. We will all miss Kathy
